Clubs and Organizations

 

The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown offers organizations, clubs, and groups that enrich the lives of students. The experiences within these groups will remain a part of our students' lives forever.

Fraternity and Sorority Life

Pitt-Johnstown's social fraternities and sororities provide students the opportunity to become part of a group that shares common ideals and promotes community service, scholastic excellence, and philanthropic endeavors, as well as opportunities for social activities and leadership development.  Currently, the University recognizes four organizations in our FSL community. 

Honor Societies

The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown has established chapters in affiliation with numerous National Honor Societies.

Publications and Performance

Pitt-Johnstown provides opportunities in publications and media for students of all majors. These organizations offer practical experiences in the fields of journalism, creative writing, broadcasting, and business. Each organization provides the opportunity for actively involved students to earn one practicum credit per term.

Service Organizations

Pitt-Johnstown's service organizations involve a wide variety of service, programming and need- fulfillment activities. Each organization is unique in its goals, events, and membership requirements.

Club and Sports Recreation

Pitt-Johnstown sports and recreational clubs offer the opportunity of athletic competition, non-varsity club and intramural sport activities to both men and women. Regular practices, competitions, travel, service projects, and social outings are all generally included in the activity schedule of a club sport or intramural team.

Religious Affiliation

Pitt-Johnstown’s religious organizations offer students an opportunity to provide and receive spiritual guidance, personal support and human services. Campus Ministry also coordinates service trips for students.
