Summer Permission to take Courses at a different Pitt Campus
A Pitt-Johnstown student may take courses at another Pitt campus (Oakland, Bradford, Greensburg, Titusville) over the summer. Other terms require special permission.
Read the guidelines prior to enrolling and taking any courses.
Taking courses at another University of Pittsburgh Campus:
- Course codes differ across the Pitt campuses. If students are looking to fulfill certain requirements, it would be best to contact your advisor prior to taking the course.
- 50% of the credits for any major, minor, or certificate must be taken at Pitt-Johnstown.
- If a student will be over 90 credits at the end of the Spring term and they want to take course(s) at a different Pitt campus, they must meet with an Dr. Kilpatrick for approval.
- Students are allowed to repeat a course at a different Pitt campus that they have already attempted at Pitt-Johnstown, if the course is equivalent.

-
Completed request forms should be returned prior to enrolling in the course(s) to ensure the correct course(s) is being taken. Form can be returned at the Registrar's Office in 279 Blackington Hall or via email to upjreg@pitt.edu.
-
Students will then be notified by Pitt email following the review.
*Submitting a form is not required but is HIGHLY encouraged. This ensures the course will satisfy a requirement and is equivalent to a UPJ course*
