Expanded Meal Exchange

The Meal Exchange program has been extended to include Grill 27 and Freshens in the Tuck Shop.  Exchanges will continue to be available in the Daily Grind, Pitt Stop, Pizza Pitt, and Tso Good during normal hours of operation.  Items available for meal exchange are identified in each location.  A meal exchange works just like a meal swipe but gives you the flexibility of taking your meal with you to eat wherever you like.  Meal exchanges should be ordered via the Boost app.

Breakfast Options

Beginning with fall term a continental breakfast will be served in PJ's Monday through Friday from 7:30-10 a.m.  The continental breakfast menu will include more than 50 items.  For students desiring a hot breakfast, a meal exchange can be used at the Pitt Stop to purchase an egg sandwich with cheese, an egg sandwich with cheese and meat, or French toast sticks with maple syrup.  Breakfast exchanges also include an apple and choice of regular coffee, milk, juice, or fountain drink.

Get It Made-To-Order

The new Tapin2 app allows you to place a customized order from Global Eats and Delicious Without in PJ's…and avoid waiting in line.  Simply log into the app, place your order, and you will receive a notification when it's ready!  Additional information will be available on campus.

Food Allergy & Dietary Restrictions

If you have a food allergy and dietary restrictions related to medical conditions, religion (halal and kosher meals), and/or food intolerance be sure to self-identify on the Dine on Campus app.  A member of the Chartwells culinary team will contact you to discuss your specific dietary needs and outline ways in which they can be accommodated.

Meal Plan Changes:

Meal plan changes can be made through the third full day of the semester.  The deadline to change your fall semester meal plan is 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 30.  (You can change to a higher meal plan at any time during the semester.  An example of changing to a higher plan is switching from Bronze B to Bronze A or from a bronze plan to a silver or gold plan.)  You can change your meal plan online in the Johnstown Campus Housing & Dining Services task center on the Pitt Portal.
