Pitt-Johnstown Provides Food Pantry

The Pitt-Johnstown Provides Food Pantry has partnered with the Student Government Association and Chartwells to be a valuable campus resource available to all Pitt-Johnstown students, including residential and commuters, who may be dealing with food insecurity.

Our goal is that no UPJ student goes hungry!

The pantry is intended to be welcoming, accessible, respectful, and easy to use. Faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to support the pantry through monetary, personal care, or food donations.

  • We want the Food Pantry to be a valuable resource to our students, and we are respectful of students’ privacy.
  • How much can you take? Take what you need! While we do not have a specific rule, we trust that students who use our service do so in good faith and take only what is needed and will be used.
  • Students may visit the pantry as often as needed, but we ask that visits be limited to occasions when food is needed.
  • Both non-perishable items and fresh food are available; fresh items are stored in an on-site refrigerator as supplies allow.
  • We make every effort to have personal hygiene items available, but they are donation dependent and cannot be guaranteed. If there is something you need, please ask and we will do all we can to accommodate your request.
  • An optional anonymous online survey allows students to request specific items, including dietary needs or foods they would like to see offered.
