Congratulations on choosing to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown! Now that you have submitted your tuition deposit, there are a few important steps to complete before you arrive on campus. Use this guide to work through the required tasks and get ready for your first semester.
Your Campus Essentials
Johnstown Campus Resource Center
The Johnstown Campus Resource Center is your central hub for required tasks and campus resources throughout your time at Pitt-Johnstown. Access it at my.Pitt.edu by searching “Johnstown Campus Resource Center” and bookmark it for easy reference.
Pitt Email
Check your official University of Pittsburgh email account regularly. All communications related to academics, student life, and important deadlines will be sent to this address.
Mountain Cat ID Card
You will receive an official invitation to your Pitt email with instructions for submitting your photo. Complete this step as soon as the invite arrives.
Vehicle Registration
Students who plan to bring a vehicle to campus must register it with the University. You will be notified via your Pitt email when registration opens. Complete this step before arriving on campus.
Schedule & Course Registration
New Student Questionnaire
Submit the New Student Questionnaire form. This provides your academic division with the information needed to prepare your fall class schedule.
ALEKS Math Placement Assessment
Complete the ALEKS Math Placement Assessment to ensure placement in the appropriate math course. Results are used by your academic division to finalize your fall schedule.
Academic Planning Day (APD)
Register for one session: June 18, June 30, or July 13. During your APD, you will meet with academic advisors and receive your fall course schedule.
Final Transcripts and Exam Scores
- Submit official college transcripts and AP or IB exam scores to receive transfer credit.
- Submit these prior to attending an APD to avoid duplicate coursework.
- Submit your final high school transcript to verify graduation and finalize enrollment.
Living on Campus
Housing Application
The housing application opens on May 1. You will receive an invitation to your Pitt email within 7 days of submitting your tuition deposit. Submit your application promptly—spaces are limited and fill quickly.
Vaccinations and Immunizations
Submit the Student Immunizations Required Vaccines form through the Immunization Portal. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires students to provide proof of immunization, proof of immunity, or documentation of an approved exemption.
Additional information about required and recommended vaccines is available on the Student Health Services website. Students are strongly encouraged to meet this requirement before arriving on campus.
