Maher M. Murad, Ph.D., P.E.

Maher M Murad is a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Prior to joining Pitt-Johnstown in 2001, Dr. Murad was a visiting instructor at Bucknell University and had overseas teaching and professional experience. He worked as a technical manager at Modern Contracting in Morocco and as a highway project manager at Acer Freeman Fox International in Dubai. His teaching interests include transportation, highway design, and pavement design and management. His research interests include highway safety, pavement management, and engineering education.
