Transfer Credit Guidelines

Transfer Credit Guidelines

The University of Pittsburgh will be accepting courses that students select the “Pass” option for during the terms affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. At this time we are approved to accept courses from Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 courses from other institutions if a student selects the pass option. The pass credits for those terms will be accepted for transfer to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. If the Pandemic continues beyond these two terms, then future terms will be included in this exception to the normal acceptance of transferable credits.

The Office of the Registrar evaluates courses taken at other colleges and universities for transfer to Pitt-Johnstown. Courses will be evaluated for transfer only after a student has completed an application for admission and has provided Pitt-Johnstown with an official transcript from their previous institution.

For current Pitt-Johnstown students, prior permission is required before you can attend classes at another institution. Information on obtaining prior permission is noted above.

Contact the Registrar's Office with any questions regarding this process at 814-269-7055 or upjreg@pitt.edu.
