Special dates have been established for students to retrieve items from their rooms prior to the start of the 2021 Spring Term (whether moving out or retrieving items needed to start classes):

- Saturday, January 16 (keys will be returned to Campus Police)

If you need to access your room:
- You must inform our office of your chosen day and time at least one business day in advance via email to upjhousing@pitt.edu .
- Your building access will be restored from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for your chosen day.
- Your access will not be active on any other day.
- For contact tracing purposes, please do not come to campus without having informed our office (your ID will not have been reactivated) and you will need to complete the Daily COVID-19 Health Check.
- If you are moving out, you will be permitted to bring one guest to help you. Otherwise, no guests are permitted in the building.
- Don't forget your room key!
For your safety and the safety of others, the following guidelines must be followed:
- Wear a face covering
- Adhere to physical distancing guidelines
- Complete the Daily COVID-19 Health Check (login required version) at my.pitt.edu (your guest will need to complete the Daily COVID-19 Health for Public/Guest).
If you are moving out for the semester:
- After you have collected your belongings, your key will need to be returned to 130 Student Union.
- Please complete an Express Checkout envelope (available on the table outside our office), place your room key (and mailbox key) in the envelope, and then take the envelope into our office.
- Only one person is permitted in our office at a time.
- Our office will be open until 4 p.m. each retrieval day.
- Please note that housing and meal plan charges will not be removed from your account until we receive your key.
- Items should be removed from your room and your key returned on or before Friday, January 29.
