UPDATE: The 2023 Pitt-Johnstown Commencement Ceremony will be held outside on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Richland High School’s Herlinger Field. Please note the location and time change from previous communications.
The rain/inclement weather site is the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center at 3:00 pm on the same date. The location, based on weather forecasts, will be announced no later than Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
NOTE: If the ceremony is outside, heeled shoes of any kind are not permitted. ONLY FLAT-SOLED FOOTWEAR IS PERMITTED ON THE TURF FIELD.

Step 1. RSVP
• Tell us if you're attending!
• Graduates wishing to participate in the ceremony may choose to attend in person or attend virtually but still have their name announced. The selection will be made during this step.

• RSVPs must be submitted no later than April 14, 2023.
Step 2: PURCHASE REGALIA
• If participating in person, graduates must purchase an academic regalia set (cap & gown) and tassel through the Pitt-Johnstown Book Center.
• Caps, gowns, tassels, and academic honors cords may be purchased online or in person at the Book Center.
• Please retain the proof of purchase as you will need this when picking up your tickets.
• Contact the Book Center at 814-269-7100 or tjjones@pitt.edu with any questions regarding regalia.
Step 3: Pick Up Guest Tickets
• Due to the capacity limits of each venue, a set number of guest tickets are available for each graduate.
• Graduates do not need a ticket.
• Outdoor ceremony: Seven guest tickets per graduate
• Indoor ceremony: Four guest tickets per graduate
• The ceremony will be live-streamed for those that do not attend. The link will be located on the commencement website closer to the date.
• If the ceremony is inside, there will be an air-conditioned live-stream viewing area in the Wellness Center for guests without tickets.
• Tickets will be available March 14-17 for those that have completed Steps 1 & 2.

New this year: Pitt-Johnstown is inviting all summer grads to participate in the current year's commencement ceremony. So, this year, August 2022, December 2022, April 2023, June 2023, and August 2023 graduates are eligible to participate in the 2023 commencement ceremony.
